Lucie Koldova
Lucie Koldova is a light and furniture designer based in Prague. After graduating at Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague in 2009, she moved to Paris where she has worked in the renowned art and design Studio in Paris. Subsequently she grew up artistically into independent designer and had continued to develop her own creations for various companies in France as well abroad.
It was therefore a natural progression for her to gain wide audience in 2010 with the Muffins and Balloons series of lights developed for the Czech blown glass manufacturer Brokis. Soon after the designer established her own Lucie Koldova Studio in Paris in 2012, then settled in Prague. Soon after she became the artistic director of Brokis.
Her artistic and technological input have helped to enabled Brokis into a worldwide known premium lighting producer. Simultaneously she continues to design for international and Czech clients creating furniture pieces, glass lighting sculptures, and various lighting designs, objects of desire.
Her work stretches from daily products to poetic gallery objects, limited series and interior architecture.
